Who responds in Rohnert Park
Rohnert Park runs police, fire and dispatch as one Department of Public Safety, at 500 City Center Drive. Its Public Safety Officers are trained as both police officers and firefighters, so the person at the door may be wearing either uniform.
For questions afterwards, including when you can have the home back, call the department's non-emergency number, (707) 584-2600. If the death needs the county coroner, the officers can tell you whether the coroner has been called.
Apartments, duplexes and shared walls
In an apartment or a duplex, fluids and odor can reach the unit next door or the one below. Tell the manager early, and ask the cleanup company to check shared walls, floors and any ductwork that runs between units.
If you manage the building, the page for landlords covers staff safety, the tenant's belongings and what to tell the next tenant.
